At a kitchen table in 2015…
Richard Jackson and Amanda Sinclair developed WatchMyCompetitor to change the way intelligence could be gathered, analysed and used. While working in the financial industry, the husband and wife co-founders experienced first hand the need for a fast, effective and cost-efficient solution. Recognising there was no solution available, they decided to leave their city jobs and build a platform that would solve this problem. Understanding the need to track the market, including competitors, clients and regulators, they built a platform that is now used by leading global brands all over the world, helping protect and grow revenue every day.
Richard Jackson
Co-Founder, CEO
Richard spent 15 years in corporate banking technology, holding leadership roles with Citigroup and Lloyds Banking Group before co-founding WatchMyCompetitor in 2015. While working for banks, he led large technology divisions and international change programmes worth hundreds of millions of pounds, as well as represented the British Bankers Association in lobbying the IRS on policy change.
Amanda Sinclair
Co-Founder, Director
Amanda is an experienced tech entrepreneur who began her career with Zurich Insurance, working on IT roll-outs and development projects before developing a property management software solution, which she managed alongside her role as a full-time parent. The learnings and proceeds from that business were used to build the first incarnation of WatchMyCompetitor in 2015 alongside Richard.
